THIS IS ME...
I have been climbing this tree since I was 8 years old.
My father would lift me up to the 'big branch' and watch as I disregarded his pleas for carefulness, edging further and further along its strong branches. He told me I have always been wild.
In time I climbed to open my exam results, I climbed for stillness and solitude. Later I stood on the ground and watched as my own child balanced and scaled its sturdy limbs.
As I reach midlife, I find myself wishing to swell my own roots, find new soil, break new ground. To place myself in situations that force expansion, and growth
The aim for these coming years will be to build a solid foundation with which to underpin my existing branches of creativity, entrepreneurship, and understanding.
I will nurture this desire for self-development by watering it frequently with new knowledge, challenges, and experiences.
"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it."
